Red Ribbon Week Sticker Contest open

BULLHEAD CITY — The Bullhead City Police and Fire Departments are inviting young artists to get creative and take a stand against drugs. Students in fourth grade and below are encouraged to create an original sticker design promoting a drug free lifestyle. The winning design will be professionally made into a sticker and shared with children throughout our community during Red Ribbon Week. 

Contest Details:

* The contest is open to 4th grade and below.

* Students are to create an original design encouraging others to live drug free.

* Entries will be judged based on creativity, artistic ability appropriate to the student’s age and strength of the message.

* Students throughout the Tri-State area are eligible to participate.

* By submitting an entry, the artist gives the Bullhead City Police and Fire Departments permission to use, reproduce and display the artwork.

Requirements:

* One entry per person

* Original artwork only

* Artwork must be created on a plain piece of paper

* No copyrighted characters (Disney, Marvel etc).

* Must include a positive & family friendly drug free message

* Hand drawn only. No computer generated or AI designs

* Do not include artist’s name on the front of artwork

* Anti-drug slogans or phrases are allowed. Keep written messages short, clear and easy to read. The finished sticker will be approximately 3 x 4 inches.

* Color or black and white artwork is accepted

How to Enter:

Entries can be dropped off at the Bullhead City Police Department lobby, 1255 Marina Boulevard, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Students and classrooms who submit their artwork in person will also receive a small gift at the Police Department lobby.

Submission deadline: October 2nd

The artist’s information should be written on the back of the artwork, including their full name, age, school, grade and contact phone number.

The winning design will be professionally produced as a sticker and distributed during Red Ribbon Week activities throughout the community, including at Halloween events, and featured on social media. The winner will also receive a $50 gift card to Walmart, courtesy of Bullhead City Shop with a Cop.

Students in 5th and 6th grades also have a creative opportunity to enter the Fire Department’s annual Community Risk Reduction design contest where the winning safety message artwork will be proudly displayed on a Fire Department vehicle. For more details, contact the Bullhead City Fire Department.
