Recycling group meets March 13

KINGMAN – A recently organized Kingman environmental group, Bring Your Own (BYO), has been established. BYO’s goal is to try to “de-trash” the city with particular emphasis on our relationship to plastics. BYO wants to familiarize individuals with the various ways available in the handling of plastics in their lives and their community.

The group’s goal is to encourage becoming  a more effective consumer by adopting BYO behavior, bringing your own BYO bag/container, for purchases, thus avoiding reliance on others  to provide such articles. Hopefully, BYO will expand and support  one’s customary activities to include a healthier and better relationship with plastic. An example of a recent BYO discovery: our clothing is 67% plastic.

If you  are interested in learning more, and perhaps in joining BYO please come to their next meeting on Friday morning, March 13, 10: 00 a.m., at the Sugar Shack, 1455 Northern and/or  call Chris Meisenheimer  928-757-4616 for more information.
