Rebuttal to “Defending my father”

letter to the editor

Dear Editor,

Ms. J.M., I believe your father was a good, strong, and very brave man as you describe him. By the way, so was mine. My father so much wanted to join the military when WWII began but was too young at the beginning. My grandmother needed him to help support their family as my grandfather was ill. He left school to go to work to help ends meet.

Finally, he was of age, so he chose to enlist into the United States Marines. He fought in the last of the island campaigns against Japan. They were preparing for the invasion of the Japanese mainland when President Truman ordered the atomic bombing of Iroshima and Nagasaki to persuade the Japanese to surrender.

After the surrender he was ordered to go to China to help disarm what was left of the Japanese troops. When my father was discharged he returned home and worked as a truck driver at the local Navy air station.

Along comes 1950 when communist North Korea invaded the free republic of South Korea. My father was called back to serve again after being a civilian for several years. After two weeks of training off to South Korea to help repel the communist invasion. To make things worse the communist Peoples Republic of China decided to send in troops to back-up the invading communist North Korean troops. After surviving two years of living hell he finally got to come home, resume his job, then meet and marry my mother.

Ms. J.M. you need to “fact check” the “fact checkers” as they are biased toward their particular political beliefs and not the truth. We both know former President Trump is not a “perfect” man, however, he loves the United States and the American people! All the insults you claim to be true are false.

If you get information from sources like CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC or NBC you are being brainwashed with lies. From January 20, 2017 to January 19, 2021 our country had a true leader. Prosperous economy, stable borders, respect around the world, no wars, energy independence, no CRT and DEI brainwashing in our schools and work places, no males claiming to be females going in to women’s locker rooms and rest rooms, and opportunities for all who work hard to achieve the “American Dream” without government handouts.

Both our fathers are heroes in my eyes. However, our current so called “leadership” is corrupt, anti-American, and in no way deserving of the positions they hold!
