‘Reach Out’ facility under construction

KINGMAN – Here’s a look at the progress of construction for Mohave County’s new “Reach Out” facility in Kingman. The new facility will be the physical result of a re-entry program that helps recently released inmates avoid returning to jail and to reduce recidivism. The detox center offers a safe and secure environment for individuals who need help or are required by the court system to get clean. The location of this new facility is strategic in that the entrance to it is literally a few steps away from the door where inmates are released from jail custody.  The new building features a re-entry program and a detox center. It allows for another opportunity to speak with newly released inmates and get them connected with services in near real time. The second story of the facility is designed with the intention that a 12-bed medical detoxification facility could be operated to further address the substance use issues in the county community.
