KINGMAN, Ariz. – A mandatory prison plea agreement has been entered for a Phoenix area resident arrested when just under one-quarter pound of methamphetamine was seized a few miles east of Kingman five months ago.

Deputy Mohave County Attorney Phillip Delgado said a K-9 alerted to illegal cargo after the vehicle Justin Owens, 44, was driving was pulled over on May 3. Authorities said a magnetized metal container under the vehicle contained about 108 grams of meth.

Owens was arrested at the scene of the stop in the 700 block of Blake Ranch Road. He pleaded guilty to transportation of dangerous drugs for sale.

Owens faces a three- to five-year prison term when sentenced Nov. 3.
