Prison ordered for drug dealer

LAKE HAVASU CITY – A 4-year prison term was ordered Thursday for a Peoria woman who allegedly sold large quantities of heroin and counterfeit pills in the Lake Havasu City area. Judge Doug Camacho sentenced Summer Parkerson, 34.

“I do take full responsibility for my actions,” Parkerson told the Judge. “Any leniency is appreciated.”

The four-year sentence imposed by Camacho was one year less than the maximum punishment possible under terms of a plea agreement convicting Parkerson of possession of narcotic drugs for sale.

Authorities reportedly seized 14 grams of heroin, 44 fentanyl pills, one Xanax pill and a counterfeit $100-bill following an early morning traffic stop last November in Lake Havasu.

Defense attorney Emily Weiss said Parkerson spiraled into criminal activity after becoming addicted to painkillers after shattering an ankle during an accident.
