Possible suicide Memorial Day in Kingman

KINGMAN – There seems to have been a suicide at the bridge on Hualapai Mountain Road Monday, just southeast of Andy Devine Highway. Police were conducting their investigation under the bridge, near where firefighters stood around. It was not clear, but appeared that someone may have jumped off the bridge or just jumped in front of the moving train. It was unclear whether the victim was male or female.

A BNSF Railways employee on the scene said, “Someone committed suicide in front of our train, but please don’t print pictures. No one needs to see that.”

A Kingman police officer said, “All I can say is there was an individual and a train accident.”

Further information was not readily available from Kingman Police Department nor BNSF due to the holiday.
