Police vehicle shot up

BULLHEAD CITY – Authorities report a Bullhead City police patrol vehicle was shot up after an officer responded to a noise complaint on Christmas eve. The incident at the Vista Loma Apartments at 2367 Merrill Avenue was reported at 4:21 p.m.

“When the first officer arrived to investigate the complaint, several rounds came from a nearby apartment, striking the officer’s patrol vehicle,” said police sergeant Eddie Espinoza. “The officer was not struck by the gunfire, and did not return fire.”

The alleged shooter, Valentin Aeljandro Aaron Pablo, 21, reportedly exited his apartment and surrendered without further incident. Espinoza said Pablo was booked into the Adult Detention Facility in Kingman for aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, misconduct involving weapons, endangerment and unlawful discharge of a firearm.
