Police shooting under investigation in LHC

LAKE HAVASU CITY – A subject was wounded by police gunfire in Lake Havasu City. Authorities said an officer responding to a suspicious person report shot an unidentified subject after responding to the 2700 block of Arcadia Dr. at 5:34 a.m. on June 10.

“Officers immediately began performing life-saving efforts on the subject, who was ultimately transported to Havasu Regional Medical Center,” a news release said. “No officers were injured in the incident.”

The names of those involved are initially withheld and the incident will be investigated by the Bullhead City Police Department. Having an outside agency conduct an independent investigation is common practice in officer-involved shootings.
