Pet CPR class offered

LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Frontline Coalition will be returning to Lake Havasu this October for their pet CPR training classes. Owner and Pet CPR Instructor of Frontline Coalition Malinda Malone will be sharing everything pet owners need to know about saving their furry companion’s lives.

Malone taught a Havasu class previously in June of this year and pet owners will be excited to enroll if they missed this summer’s class. From California’s police force to pet groomer, then pet CPR trainer, Malone has now added something unique to her emergency response background. The class will be intended not just for pet owners, but pet professionals in the animal industry.  

Covering safety methods for just cats and dogs, the class will also be addressing the makings of first aid kits, choking and heat stroke prevention, and rescue breathing techniques. Students will receive pet CPR and first aid certifications once they complete the class, and certifications are good for two years. 

If you currently hold a pet CPR certificate, there’s no fee to just drop in on the instruction to keep your pet rescuing skills up to speed. The next pet CPR training class will be on Saturday, October 26 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Aquatic Center.  

Registration can be done by calling Frontline Pet Coalition directly at 480-689-1261. With plenty of time to register, now is the time to sign up for pet CPR so that your four-legged friend can remain in your family for the years to come.
