Parkway improvement contract awarded

BULLHEAD CITY – A Prescott Valley based firm has been awarded a $2.6-million contract for making improvement along the Bullhead Parkway in Bullhead City. The Arizona State Transportation Board approved the contract for Asphalt Paving & Supply, Inc. (APS) during its Aug. 16 meeting in Safford.

The low bid submitted by APS was $557,000 (17.5%) under the state estimate. The project runs from Silver Creek Road to Laredo Drive.

“The work consists of raised median construction, pavement markings application, signing and lighting installation, and other related work,” according to the ADOT bid advertisement. APS has 80 working days to complete the improvements.
