Paint party renews old downtown building

KINGMAN – A row of painters that included Police Chief Bob Devries, Finance Director Tina Moline, Public Works Director Rob Owen and Chamber of Commerce President Becky Fawson worked Thursday morning to cover the orange and green color scheme that formerly decorated the Smoke Shop in downtown Kingman.

Federal authorities provided permission to repaint the building at 417 Beale Street that was forfeited to the U.S. Marshals office and will be put on the market for sale. A fresh coat of paint gives the structure a new look in a sandstone color.
