Wiggle Waggle Walk To Benefit SAINT

Rainbow Girls hosted student assistance fundraiser

LAKE HAVASU CITY – The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls in Arizona is empowering the young women of the Lake Havasu community.  Last week, the nonprofit group hosted a charitable Bunco Fundraiser.  The event took place on Monday May 13th at 6pm at the Aquatic Center.The history of this youth service organization dates all the way back to 1922 with Reverend W. Man dies in Laughlin casino

LAUGHLIN, Nev. – A man was killed during an early Friday fight inside a Laughlin casino. Laughlin Metro police responded at 1:20 a.m. to the incident at the Aquarius Resort. A press release indicates arriving officers found an unresponsive male on the floor of the casino. The man was pronounced dead following transport to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center in Bullhead City. Investigators determined the violence erupted after separate groups were involved in an argument. “The argument escalated to a physical fight between the victim and two adult males from the other group,” the news release said. “During the fight,…

Kennedy takes plea for running drugs

An elderly drug runner from Oklahoma entered a plea agreement in Mohave County Superior Court in late June. Beverly Kennedy, 67, pleaded guilty to the reduced charge of attempted transportation of marijuana for sale. Kennedy was eastbound in a 2018 Nissan when pulled over for speeding on Interstate 40, about 40 miles west of Kingman. Prosecutor Amanda Claerhout said Kennedy was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle and broke down in tears when officers asked about suspicious duffel bags in the back seat and cargo area. KINGMAN – The Arizona State Transportation Board held its monthly governing board meeting in Kingman on Friday, Sept. 15.
