Five arrested in near half-million dollar drug seizure

KINGMAN – A six-month-long Kingman drug investigation culminated Nov. 3 with significant seizures and five arrests. Kingman police spokeswoman Jennifer Sochocki said federal agents assisted the local MAGNET narcotics task force with the execution of search warrants at one home in the 400 block of Wilshire Avenue and another in the 2000 block of Davis Avenue.

Sochocki said a total of 10 pounds of methamphetamine and more than 500 counterfeit oxycodone pills believed to be made of fentanyl were seized. Some of the drugs, she said, were confiscated when officers stopped a vehicle that left one of the residences.

The primary target of the investigation, Jesus Manuel Sanchez, 45, was arrested as he was leaving the Wilshire Avenue home. He was booked into jail possession of narcotic drugs for sale and possession of dangerous drugs for sale.

The other Kingman residents arrested and jailed for various drug offenses include Joseph Michael Herrera, 49, Rac’cale Blair, 33, Kyle Thomas Huggins, 50, and Cheri Lynn Green, 67.

Sochocki said the street value of the confiscated drugs is $458,000.
