Skubal inks big deal

Kingman baseball prodigy Tarik Skubal is a millionaire. The 27-year-old who grew up in Kingman where he enjoyed success in youth and high school hardball involvements avoided arbitration when he inked a $2.65-million deal with the Detroit Tigers on Jan. 11. Museum’s 42nd Annual Christmas gathering draws locals

KINGMAN – The Mohave Museum of History and Arts hosted its annual Christmas Gathering on Saturday, December 9. The museum has hosted the event for 42 years. Hike rescued from remote area

MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue personnel retrieved an injured hiker in extreme northern Arizona. Crews responded about 6:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15 after learning that help was needed on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park. A Search and Rescue Facebook post indicated that five friends were backpacking along the Kanab Creek when a 63-year-old male fell and injured his shoulder. Deceased pedestrian ID’d

BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City police department has released the name of the pedestrian who was fatally injured when struck by a vehicle on Friday, July 28. Agency spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said the 6:46 p.m. collision on highway 95 near Riverview Drive claimed the life of David Leland Arnold, 59. Arnold died following life flight to a hospital in Las Vegas.
