Operation Veteran offers words of encouragement

KINGMAN – Operation Veteran support group and fellowship is held at New Life Church, 419 Harrison St., on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. in classroom 3. The meetings are open to all veterans and first responders.

In 1 Peter 3:15, we’re called to always be ready to share the reason for the hope we have in Christ, but it’s not just about having the right answers. It’s about how we share them — with gentleness and respect.

This scripture challenges us to examine our hearts: Are we truly revering Christ as Lord in everything we do? When we share our faith, do we do it with love and humility, or are we quick to argue and defend our beliefs without considering the other person’s heart?

True reverence for Christ means that our words and actions reflect His love and compassion. We’re not called to win debates, but to win hearts. Sharing the hope we have in Jesus is a privilege, and it should be done in a way that invites others in, rather than pushing them away.

Let’s strive to live out this verse every day, always ready to share our hope, but doing so with a spirit of gentleness and respect that honors both Christ and the people we’re speaking to.

In John 4:24, Jesus reminds us that God is spirit, and those who worship Him must do so in the Spirit and in truth. This means that true worship goes beyond rituals or traditions — it’s about a deep, genuine connection with God that is led by the Holy Spirit and grounded in truth.

Worship is not just something we do on Sunday mornings; it’s a lifestyle. It’s living each day with a heart fully surrendered to God, allowing His Spirit to guide our thoughts, actions, and decisions. It’s being honest with Him and ourselves, seeking to align our lives with His truth.

Let’s strive to worship God in spirit and truth, not just in our words, but in every part of our lives. When we do, we invite His presence into every moment, transforming the ordinary into something holy.

In 1 Peter 3:10-12, we’re reminded of the powerful impact our words and actions have on our lives. If we want to love life and see good days, we must guard our tongues against evil and deceit. It’s a call to turn away from wrong and to actively pursue what is good, to seek peace and strive for it in all areas of our lives.

God’s eyes are on those who choose righteousness, and He hears their prayers. But the scripture also warns that His face is against those who do evil. This is a powerful reminder that our choices matter—not just in the big moments, but in our everyday words and deeds.

Let’s commit to speaking truth, doing good, and seeking peace, knowing that God is watching over us and listening to our prayers. Our words and actions can either bring life and blessings or lead us down a path we don’t want to go. Choose wisely, and let God’s love guide your steps.

In John 15:11, Jesus shares a profound truth with us: He desires that His joy may be in us, and that our joy may be complete. True joy isn’t something we find in the world or in our circumstances; it’s a deep, abiding sense of peace and happiness that comes from knowing and walking with Christ.

When we stay connected to Him, like branches to a vine, His joy fills our hearts, even in the midst of life’s challenges. This joy is complete, not lacking or fleeting, but full and enduring.

Let’s remember that Jesus offers us a joy that the world cannot give or take away. Stay close to Him, and let His joy overflow in your life, making your joy complete.

Isaiah 32:17 reminds us of the powerful connection between righteousness and peace. When we walk in righteousness—living according to God’s will—the result is peace that fills our hearts and minds. This peace brings a sense of quietness and confidence that isn’t just temporary, but lasting.

In a world filled with noise and uncertainty, the peace that comes from living righteously is a gift beyond measure. It grounds us, giving us confidence in God’s presence and His promises.

Let’s strive to live in righteousness, trusting that the fruit of our obedience will be a deep and abiding peace, a quiet confidence that carries us through every season of life.

“Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.”

— Jeremiah 17:14 (NIV)

In this powerful verse, we see a declaration of absolute trust in God’s ability to heal and save. Jeremiah’s words remind us that true healing—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual — comes from the Lord alone. When we call upon Him, we’re not just asking for temporary relief; we’re seeking the deep and lasting healing that only God can provide.

No matter what you’re facing today, remember that God is both your healer and your savior. When you turn to Him in faith, He hears you, He restores you, and He fills your heart with praise. Trust in His unfailing love, and let Him be the source of your healing and salvation.

May this verse encourage you to place your burdens at His feet and find comfort in His presence. He is faithful, and in Him, there is hope.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

— Joshua 1:9 (NIV)

What a powerful promise! In the midst of life’s challenges, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed or uncertain. But God’s command to Joshua is a reminder to us all: we are called to be strong and courageous, not because of our own abilities, but because the Lord is with us every step of the way.

No matter what you’re facing today, remember that you are never alone. God’s presence goes before you, guiding and protecting you. Let this truth give you the courage to move forward in faith, knowing that He is with you wherever you go.

Stay strong, stay courageous, and trust in His unfailing love!

“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’”

— John 14:6 (NIV)

These words of Jesus remind us of the profound truth at the heart of our faith. He is not just a guide or a teacher — He is the way, the truth, and the life itself. Through Him, we find our path to God, our understanding of truth, and the fullness of life we were created for.

In a world full of uncertainties, Jesus is our anchor. He leads us to the Father, offering us the assurance of eternal life and a relationship with God. Let’s hold fast to this truth and share it with others, knowing that in Jesus, we find everything we need.
