Nordyke sentenced to 12.5 years in prison

prison for one count of child molestation. Mohave County Superior Court Judge Carlisle considered aggravating and mitigating factors before ordering the sentence including a letter written by Nordyke documenting his history. Nordyke was allowed to speak on his behalf, and chose to mention his prior military service. The victim’s mother made a statement about the effects on the victim and the victim’s family.

Upon completion of his sentence, Nordyke will be required to register as a sex offender.

During the course of an unrelated investigation last May, the molestation victim – now an adult – detailed sexual abuse perpetrated by Nordyke when she was a child. When questioned, Nordyke admitted to the accusation and was subsequently arrested.
