No injuries in an Easter Sunday fire

No one was hurt during an Easter Sunday fire in north Kingman. Personnel from the Northern Arizona Consolidated Fire District (NACFD) responded at 4:38 p.m. to the incident in the 3100 block of East Packard Avenue.

“Firefighters arrived to find a single wide mobile residence with an attached Arizona room with smoke and fire venting from the roof,” a news release stated. “There were two occupants at the time and everyone escaped without injury.”

Battalion Chief Don Dallman said it took crews about 20 minutes to knock down the fire before extensive mop up operations were conducted. The cause of the fire is under investigation and there was no initial estimate of the value of the loss.
