New retail chain set to open in Kingman

KINGMAN – C-A-L Ranch is open for business in Kingman. The store that occupies about 55,000 sq. ft. inside the former Kmart on East Andy Devine Ave. used a Thursday soft opening and the weekend as a training opportunity for its 30-member workforce.

Vice President of Marketing Jason Miller said the company operating stores in Arizona, Nevada, Utah and Idaho committed to Kingman once remodeled space was available to secure.

“We’ve been looking at Kingman for years and years and we’re so excited to be there now,” Miller said. “We have all sorts of departments. We have over 80,000 “skus” (products) in the store—everything from clothing to hardware, plumbing supplies, electrical supplies, automotive is a huge part of our store, sporting goods—just a huge variety of items for your home, farm or ranch.”

C-A-L Ranch typically locates in smaller communities and may have interest in nearby Lake Havasu and Bullhead City. “Absolutely. I could see a potential day in the future that we could go into those markets as well,” Miller said.

Miller said the store will offer customers an opportunity to win gun safes and firearms on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Dignitaries and the general public are invited to a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4:00 p.m. Thursday.

The Kingman store is also COVID-19 conscious and allows customers to order in and show for pickup.

“You can order at Calranch.com. You can order there and we actually have a curbside pickup,” Miller said.

The Kingman store is open from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
