New interchange in downtown Kingman will go out for bid in 2023

KINGMAN – The timetable for development of a new Highway 93/Interstate 40 traffic interchange in downtown Kingman was updated during separate February 18 meetings of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors and Kingman City Council. Todd Steinberger, an assistant district engineer with the Arizona Department of Transportation said project design is currently 30% complete.

Steinberger said the $50 million-plus project should be ready to put out to bid in March, 2023. He said bid award should occur in the summer of 2023 with project completion expected during the summer or fall of 2025.
