Dear Editor,
Misinformation is all I see from the proponents of the new fire district.
These same people were associated with the former fire district, and were either removed, or asked to leave (I wonder why?). Is this a ploy to gain back management of the fire district funds?
To put it bluntly, if this “new district” is allowed, you can bet your property taxes will rise!
The allotted budget currently for this area will be reduced, if the new fire district is allowed, by as much as 33%. So how do we get adequate fire coverage with reduced budget? You don’t!
The new managers of the new district will have to increase property taxes!
Don’t fall for the lack of coverage BS, or the “closed fire stations” as Peach Springs has a tribal fire station, and Valle Vista, is a manned station. I sincerely question the motive behind this.
