National Police Week

KINGMAN – The Kingman Police Department asks the community to assist in celebrating National Police Week. This year, National Police Week will take place from May 12 through the 18.  This week-long observance is an annual event dedicated to honoring the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers across the United States. In 1962, President John F. Kennedy issued the first proclamation for Peace Officers Memorial Day and National Police Week to remember and honor law enforcement officers for their service and sacrifices. Peace Officers Memorial Day, which every year falls on May 15, specifically honors law enforcement officers killed or disabled in the line of duty.
