Nancy Louise Stone

Nancy Louise Stone, a devoted follower of Christ, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, peacefully passed away on June 28, 2024, at the age of 75, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 7, 1949 in Quincy Illinois to Elizabeth and Walter Ellerman.

Beyond her own family, Nancy was known as “Nanny” to countless children.  She welcomed them into her heart with open arms, providing them with comfort, guidance, and a place to feel loved and safe.

Nancy found great joy in her faith, attending Hope City Church regularly.

Above all, Nancy adored her grandchildren, showering them with affection and wisdom. She was a pillar of strength, and a source of unconditional love.

She is survived by her loving children Clinton (Denise) Stone, Justin (Savannah) Stone, and Kayla Martin; her siblings Ronald (Nancy) Ellerman, Dean Ellerman, Sheila (Jim) Ryan and David Ellerman, her cherished 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gary Stone, son-in-law Clay Martin, her parents Walter and Elizabeth Ellerman, her brother Mark(Susie) Ellerman, sisters-in-law Vicki Ellerman and Kelly Ellerman, and nephew Judd Ellerman.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kingdom Builders through Hope City Church.
