MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College is excited to announce that seven of its students have been selected as All Arizona Academic Team Members, including Kingman resident, Michelle Drwal.
All Arizona Academic Team members receive a full tuition scholarship to any public university in Arizona after they graduate MCC. The scholarship covers resident tuition for 10 consecutive undergraduate semesters or 60 credits for the fall and spring semesters.
Drwal is planning to attend Northern Arizona University to earn her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. She hopes to eventually work in the Alzheimer’s unit because she enjoys working with senior citizens.
“I’m honored to be awarded as a team member I hope to be an inspiration to others who want to continue their education journey but have doubts that it’s feasible,” Drwal said. “Anything is possible if you dream big enough.”
She is a nursing student at MCC’s Kingman campus. Drwal postponed earning her nursing degree after becoming busy from raising her children.
“My children are all grown up now and I’m able to earn this degree with more time to dedicate to it,” she said.
Drwal isn’t only a student but hold many leadership roles in MCC’s student clubs. She’s Phi Theta Kappa-Kingman chapter vice president of service, Student Activities Council secretary and Student Nurses Association-Kingman president.
When Drwal isn’t focusing on her studies, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cycling, off-roading and reading.
She grew up in Indiana and moved to Kingman four years ago because her and her husband wanted to move west to experience a different life.
