More than four pounds of cocaine seized during Fort Mohave traffic stop

FORT MOHAVE – More than four pounds of cocaine was seized following a routine traffic stop in Fort Mohave. Bullhead City Police Department spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said the speed related traffic stop occurred at about 12:50 p.m. on March 28 in the 1400 block of Aztec Road.

Lake Havasu City police K-9 Echo reportedly assisted at the scene and alerted on the vehicle after detecting an odor involving narcotics.

“A search of the vehicle revealed two large brick-sized packages that contained about 2 kilograms of cocaine,” Fromelt said. “The street value of the cocaine is estimated to be about $84,000.”

Gustavo Gutierrez, 31, Bullhead City, was arrested, transported to Kingman and booked into Adult Detention Facility for possession and transportation of narcotic drugs for sale.
