MOHAVE COUNTY – One of the primary functions of the Mohave County Treasurer’s Office is the collection of property taxes that enable the county to provide vital services such as law enforcement, fire and health services. These services are more important than ever during these unprecedented and difficult times.
Second half Property Taxes are currently due and become delinquent on May 1 after 5 p.m. Penalties and interest may apply if taxes are not paid prior to that date.
When asked about extending the May 1 payment deadline, Mohave County Treasurer Cindy Landa Cox replied, “I realize that many taxpayers in Mohave County are struggling financially and experiencing economic uncertainty during these difficult times. Unfortunately, Arizona Revised Statutes does not grant the County Treasurer any authority to postpone delinquency deadlines or remove penalties or interest.”
Treasurer Cox has implemented modified operations on March 23 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, including several social distancing measures to limit face-to-face contact with the public. Due to COVID-19 concerns, the Treasurer’s Office WILL NOT be hosting Satellite offices in Bullhead City and Lake Havasu City for 2019 second-half property tax payments.
The Mohave County Treasurer’s Office will continue to serve the public through phone and email. Please make payments online or submit via the United States Postal Service. You can also use one of the drop boxes located at the front of each of the County Administration Buildings in Kingman, Bullhead and Lake Havasu Cities.
