Mohave College to host Bighorn Trek on Bullhead Campus

MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave College will host its annual Bighorn Trek, a community workforce event connecting residents, students, employers and resource providers, Thursday, Feb. 26, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Mohave College Bullhead City Campus, 3400 Highway 95.

Bighorn Trek is Mohave College’s signature community event, featuring a career expo, workforce development agencies, live music, food and family-friendly activities. The event is free and open to the public and is designed to help attendees explore career pathways, educational opportunities and local resources.

The event will feature various College programs representing the different Areas of Interest such as Career and Technical Education, Health and Public Services, and Arts and Sciences. The event brings the opportunity for those wanting to earn a degree or certificate, to network with faculty and learn more about what programs offer.

The 11th Annual Show & Shine Car Show will be featured at the event, which will take place alongside the main event. The car show highlights Mohave College’s automotive programs while adding a popular community element to the day’s activities.

Vehicle roll-in and registration for the Show & Shine Car Show will take place from 8 to 9 a.m., with judging and awards scheduled for 1 p.m. Registration is $20 per vehicle.

Awards will be presented in four categories: Best Engine, Best Paint, Students’ Choice and Best of Show. Judging will be conducted by students enrolled in Mohave College automotive programs. For information about the car show, contact Richard Mitten at RMitten@mohave.edu.

Throughout Bighorn Trek, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with local employers, workforce development agencies and community resource providers while enjoying music, food and prize giveaways.
