Mohave College men’s soccer earns national recognition for standout 2025 season

MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave College men’s soccer program capped off a historic season with multiple national honors, as four student-athletes received All-America recognition for their performances during the 2025 campaign.

Leading the list of award recipients was Alan Salgado, who earned All-American honors from United Soccer Coaches, recognizing his impact and consistency throughout the season.

Mauricio Velazquez (#20), United Soccer Coaches All-American and NJCAA Second Team All-American, competes during a game for the Mohave College men’s soccer team this season.

Mauricio Velazquez was honored as an All-American by United Soccer Coaches and also received Second Team All-America recognition from the NJCAA, highlighting his contributions on both a national and collegiate level.

Lazzar Ramos delivered a standout season that earned him multiple top honors, including All-American recognition from United Soccer Coaches, NJCAA First Team All-America, and the prestigious title of NJCAA Division I National Player of the Year, recognizing him as the top men’s soccer player at the Division I level nationwide.

Chase Radford was named to the NJCAA First Team All-America, reflecting his standout performance and leadership during the season. Rounding out the list of honorees, Dominic Portale earned Second Team All-American recognition, adding to the program’s impressive national presence this year.

These individual achievements underscore an exceptional year for the Mohave College men’s soccer program. The team enjoyed a highly successful season marked by strong competition, consistent results, and national attention, continuing to elevate the program’s reputation on the NJCAA stage. The collective effort of the student-athletes, coaching staff and support team helped make the 2025 season one of the most accomplished in program history.
