Mohave College Foundation hosts ‘Tech Talk’ focused on building Arizona’s STEM ecosystem

MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave College Foundation is hosting at Tech Talk and invites community, education and industry leaders to join from 10 a.m. – noon Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the Mohave College Advanced Manufacturing Training Center (AMTC), 4415 N. Windrose Ln. Kingman, AZ.

The Talk is led by Dr. Jeremy Babendure, Executive Director of the SciTech Institute, Associate Research Professor of Molecular Sciences at Arizona State University, and Research Fellow at the Institute for Learning Innovation.

SciTech Institute advances STEM education and workforce development across Arizona by connecting educators, students, and industry to drive innovation and opportunity statewide.

“Dr. Babendure brings a wealth of experience in building statewide STEM networks that connect students, educators and industry,” said Julio A. Galindo, College Advancement Executive Director. “This event is about learning how we can adapt those strategies here in Mohave County to grow our own ecosystem of innovation.”

Dr. Babendure will lead a collaborative discussion centered on working with the community to strengthen regional STEM practices, leverage local innovation and make the most of resources available beyond the region.

The Tech Talk is designed bring together educators, employers and community partners to share ideas on advancing STEM pathways from K-12 to college and career, expanding internships, and aligning workforce and industry needs.
