Mobile home destroyed in fire

Fire destroyed a single wide mobile home in Kingman on Saturday. Personnel from the Northern Arizona Consolidated Fire District responded at 8:49 p.m. to the incident in the 4700 block of Powell Avenue.

NACFD officials said that the home was fully involved upon arrival and that firefighters initially assumed a defensive posture to prevent spread of the fire to nearby homes.

“Crews had the fire knocked down in about seven minutes with extensive mop up and overhaul needed,” a news release stated. “Residents had vacated the property prior to Fire Department arrival. No injuries were reported.”

Cause of the fire is under investigation.
