Mid-morning Golden Valley shooting confirmed

UPDATED: Wednesday, March 4, 2026 3:30 p.m.

OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING- GOLDEN VALLEY

GOLDEN VALLEY – On Wednesday (3/4), at approximately 8:25 AM, Deputies and Detectives responded to a property in the 4500 block of Muscovite Rd. in Golden Valley, in an attempt to locate and arrest a suspect in a Domestic Violence Aggravated Assault that had occurred a few hours earlier.

When they attempted contact with the suspect, he barricaded himself inside a trailer on the property and advised deputies he was armed inside the residence. Shortly after the barricade began, Deputies saw flames inside the residence and began taking gunshots from the suspect. Deputies returned fire, striking the suspect. The trailer was now fully engulfed in flames, and Deputies approached the suspect and dragged him away from the trailer. The suspect later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.

No law enforcement personnel were injured during this incident. The investigation into the Officer Involved Shooting is being conducted by the Bullhead City Police Department, which is standard procedure. The officers involved have been placed on paid administrative leave. Any follow up questions should be forwarded to Bullhead City PD PIO Emily Fromelt at efromelt@bullheadcityaz.gov . This investigation is ongoing.
