MCC invites community to Bighorn Trek, free admission

Bighorn Trek is a great event to connect community members of all ages with what MCC has to offer to further their educations or get them to the next step in their careers. MOHAVE COUNTY – Bighorn Trek is here! Mohave Community College would like to invite community members to stop by and see what MCC has to offer. The event showcases higher education and career opportunities in each community. The event will be held at MCC’s Bullhead City and Lake Havasu City campuses.

Bullhead Campus, 3400 Hwy. 95, Thursday, March 28 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Lake Havasu Campus, 1977 Acoma Blvd. W, Friday, April 5 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with college instructors and local businesses to learn about the skills needed for success.

Both events will feature the Show ‘n Shine Car Show hosted by the College’s Automotive programs. The car show on both campuses allows car enthusiasts to showcase their hot rods. Registration is $20 per car, with awards given in categories such as best engine, best paint, students’ choice, and best of show. For more information about the car shows, contact Auto Collision Instructor Richie Mitten at RMitten@mohave.edu.

It will also feature a hiring event of current openings in the area in partnership with ARIZONA@WORK. In Lake Havasu, the College is partnering with Arizona Youth Partnership and Not My Kid to sponsor parent workshops in Spanish and English focused on teen mental health, starting at 7 AM.

General information about the event can be found at BighornTrek.com.
