Martin gets 16 years for daughter’s death

LAKE HAVASU CITY – A 16-year prison term has been ordered for the Lake Havasu City man who pleaded guilty to second degree murder in the May, 2019 death of his 18-month-old daughter. Punishment imposed during a June 19 hearing by Mohave County Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle was mandated in a plea agreement for Ty Martin, 24.

Martin’s daughter died when left in a hot vehicle while the defendant got high and played video games with a friend.
