Maintenance worker arrested for burglary

MOHAVE VALLEY – A maintenance man has been arrested for stealing a large television set from a residential property to which he had access through his employment. An investigation began January 12 when Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to activation of a security system alarm at a residence in the 1000 block of Dike Road.

Agency spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said deputies learned that a 65″ TV had been stolen from the home.

“Video surveillance from the residence was obtained and showed a male subject enter the residence and leave with the TV,” a news release said. It said neighbors helped identify the subject as David Noah Vanlueven, 47, Mohave Valley.

Vanlueven was not home when deputies served a search warrant at his residence in the 600 block of Border Ln. on Sunday, January 20. Detectives reportedly located the stolen television and other evidence during the search.

Mortensen said Vanlueven was taken into custody when detectives returned to the property that same evening. Vanlueven was booked into jail on a burglary charge.
