LHC Mayor Cal Sheehy inducted into Arizona Tourism Hall of Fame

LAKE HAVASU — Mayor Cal Sheehy was officially inducted into the Arizona Tourism Hall of Fame during the 2025 Arizona Governor’s Tourism Awards ceremony held on Thursday. The Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who have made significant and lasting contributions to Arizona’s tourism industry through leadership, innovation, and advocacy.

Sheehy began working in the hotel industry as a teenager, where he discovered a passion for serving others and creating memorable experiences, laying a foundation that made hospitality a natural path toward tourism leadership. With a deep appreciation for history and a unique ability to bring people together, Sheehy has helped shape Lake Havasu City into a thriving, welcoming destination. He has consistently supported local, state, and federal initiatives that promote tourism, celebrate our local history, and contribute to long-term economic prosperity.

The Arizona Tourism Hall of Fame is one of the highest honors in the state’s tourism industry. Inductees are selected for their lifetime achievements and for advancing Arizona’s position as a world-class travel destination

Lake Havasu City congratulates Mayor Sheehy on this well-deserved recognition and celebrates his continued leadership in making both Lake Havasu City and the State of Arizona a premier destination for visitors from around the world.
