LHC council approves Allo agreement, shoreline preservation

LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Lake Havasu City Council meeting took place on Tuesday, September 12 at the Lake Havasu Police Department at 5:30 p m. Council members began the meeting with the approval of abandonment of public utility drainage management.  

The City Clerk’s office certified the resolution.  This was followed by a motion passed for the planned development rezoning. 

The rezoning for Hilltop Community Church, 3190 McCulloch Blvd., was approved including multi-family parking standards.

Support for the preservation and enhancement of public recreational use and access to the shoreline in Lake Havasu was presented by Division Manager Luke Morris and was approved by council members. Captain Doug Whittaker requested the purchase of forensics which was also passed. 

Jonathan Baskette of Sterling Computer Corporation’s request to purchase network switches for the city’s internet was approved in the amount of $142,773.64. Also, an agreement was passed for the purchase of Fortinet Wi-Fi system with Sterling Computers and corporation in the amount of $259.380.05.  

A permanent agreement with Allo Communications was also approved.  The agreement was a new purchase of Voice-Over IP system for a one-time cost of $5,405 a month. 

An award bid was given to Pioneer Earthmovers Inc for the Palo Verde Boulevard South, Industrial Boulevard and Kiowa Avenue in the amount of $1,462, 816.

The meeting was concluded by a motion presented by Pecro Rock Company for their bid which was awarded in the amount of $1,978,474.
