LeRoy E. Staley

obituary

LeRoy E. Staley passed away in Kingman, AZ on July 22, 2026. He was born January 27, 1938, to Gladys Muriel and Luther Edwin Staley in Emporia, Kansas.

LeRoy was born to a farm family of cattle and row crop farming. He retired from Sperry/Honeywell in 2000. He enjoyed the outdoors, growing irises, wood working, photography, fly fishing and painting rocks in his retirement.

He joined the army in 1961 and served until 1963 in the U.S. Army Artillery, Merrell Barrack, in Nuremberg, Germany. He was honorably discharged from Fort Hamilton, NY; he continued in the Army Reserve until 1968.

LeRoy married Carol McCormack in 1988. They were together until Carol passed away in April 2026.

Leroy is survived by his son Alan, one stepson Robert McCormack, two stepdaughters Janet Tipton and Diann McBeath all of Kingman, AZ, 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Carol, his daughter CeCina, two sisters Judy Ann and Donna May, one brother Cecil Wayne and both parents Gladys and Luther.

LeRoy’s service will be held at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Kingman, AZ on August 1, 2026.
