Leonard C. “Bill” Langford

Leonard C. “Bill” Langford, 85, passed away peacefully June 27th, 2026, in Henderson Nevada, surrounded by his loving family and friends.  

Born in Glendale, California, to Leonard and Lucille Langford, Bill spent most of his life in Mohave County, Arizona.  He attended elementary school in Bullhead City, graduated from Kingman Union High School, earned his undergraduate degree from Arizona State University, and received his law degree from the University of Arizona.

Bill began his legal career in private practice before serving as Mohave County Attorney for 5.5-years. He subsequently served 24 years as a Judge of the Mohave County Superior Court, where he was respected for his integrity, fairness, and dedication to public service. He retired from the bench in 1998.   

Bill will be remembered for his quick wit, sharp intelligence, unwavering convictions, and genuine curiosity about life.  He had an infectious sense of humor, loved making others laugh, and was admired for his kindness, wisdom and the lasting friendships he built throughout his life.   

He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Anita Langford; his son, Mitchell Skinner; his daughter, Sarah Familian, and son-in-law, Bruce Familian; and his treasured grandson, Cortland Familian.  

A Celebration of Life Memorial service is scheduled in Kingman at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22, at the Elks Lodge, 900 Gates Avenue.  

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to a charity of choice.
