Law enforcement encourages Labor Day DUI awareness

LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Lake Havasu City Police Department will be conducting DUI enforcement details from Friday, August 30 through Monday, September 2, for the Labor Day holiday, per a grant awarded by the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.

The Labor Day weekend is one of the deadliest times of the year in terms of nationwide drunk-driving fatalities according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

The Lake Havasu City Police Department reminds everyone participating in Labor Day festivities to enjoy the weekend responsibly and arrange for a designated driver.
