Land Department auction adjourned unexpectedly

BULLHEAD CITY – Retired Bullhead City Mayor Tom Brady and a handful of others did not witness an auction as expected Wednesday. The auction table normally positioned at the steps of the Mohave County courthouse was not present for the Arizona State Land Department event that was scheduled at 11:00 a.m. in Kingman.

Two representatives of the Department informed onlookers that the “auction had been adjourned” until next month at the discretion of the Commissioner. The auction of 294 acres near the new Colorado River bridge requiring a minimum bid of more than $4.8-million will now be conducted on April 23, the same date two other expensive pieces of real estate are up for auction.

101-acres fronting Highway 95 west of the Laughlin Bullhead International Airport will require a minimum bid of $1.64 million for acquisition. A 624-acre parcel west The Shops in Lake Havasu City is appraised at $3.66 million.
