Lake Havasu City says goodbye to longtime employee

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu City proudly announces the retirement of Jill Echelberger after 37 years of dedicated service to the department.

Jill began her career with the Police Department on April 20, 1987, as a Word Processor Operator. Over the next 11 years, she advanced through several positions, including Records Clerk I, Records Clerk II, Senior Records Clerk, Records Supervisor, Senior Secretary, and Administrative Specialist. In June 2007, Chief Doyle selected her as an Administrative Specialist II, working directly in the Chief’s office. The role was later reclassified as Executive Assistant to the Chief of Police.

Throughout her career, Jill has demonstrated an exceptional blend of talent, dedication, and passion in every role she held. She faced challenges with unwavering professionalism and consistently rose to meet them with grace and determination.

Police Chief Troy Stirling said, “Jill, on behalf of the entire organization, thank you for your hard work and your kindness. As you step into this exciting new chapter of retirement, we wish you all the best.  Whether that’s traveling, spending time with loved ones, or simply relaxing.  You will be greatly missed but we are very excited for you.”

City Manager Jess Knudson congratulates Jill and thanks her for her service, “Jill, your dedication and 37 years of service to Lake Havasu City have left a lasting legacy. Your commitment, expertise, and kindness have impacted countless lives, and you will be deeply missed. Congratulations on your well-deserved retirement, and best wishes for this exciting new chapter!”
