KINGMAN – A former Kingman Unified School District (KUSD) employee faces two felony charges for a threat he reportedly posted to social media. The terminated school bus driver monitor who was still on the job when arrested at the bus barn where he worked is identified as Kaylub Clark, 27.
Deputy Kingman Police Chief Joel Freed said a co-worker reported a threatening communication discovered on Clark’s Facebook page around 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10. Freed said investigators learned the threat reflected Clark’s awareness and anger that he was being fired by the school district.
“They quietly gave me a copy of my at-will employment paperwork,” Clark’s post said, according to Freed. “Can’t wait to see what they do when I come into work with an assault rifle and my best funeral attire.”
KUSD Superintendent Gretchen Dorner said the district office and nearby Manzanita Elementary school were briefly placed in soft lock down Tuesday morning, providing time for officers to contact and arrest Clark. She said no one was endangered or harmed.
Freed said Clark admitted posting the threat. He was booked into the Adult Detention facility for making a terrorist threat and interfering with an educational institution.
