KRMC completes emergency department expansion

Stockton Hill entrance to open Wednesday

KINGMAN – Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) will open its new emergency department (E.D) entrance on Wednesday, February 10. This entrance is part of KRMC’s E.D. facility expansion, which began in October 2019.

Starting Wednesday at 7 a.m., individuals seeking emergency care are to enter the KRMC campus using Stockton Hill Road at the traffic lights. Upon entering the parking lot, they will notice the new E.D. entrance on the left – facing the road.

KRMC’s emergency department expansion nearly doubles its patient care spaces, now totaling 48. The E.D. features private patient rooms, additional trauma bays and negative pressure rooms, as well as expanded decontamination facilities.

“We’re very excited to have this additional space to meet our community’s growing demand,” said Ryan Kennedy, KRMC’s Chief Operating Officer. “We had great engagement from staff and other community stakeholders to help design this space with a focus on safety, privacy, functionality and aesthetics.”
