KRMC becomes first in Arizona to install Omni Legend 32 PET/CT system

KINGMAN – Kingman Regional Medical Center’s Imaging Services now include the advanced capabilities of GE HealthCare’s Omni Legend 32 PET/CT scanner system.

PET, or positron emission tomography, is an imaging method that involves using radioactive tracers to assess disease within the body. This type of scan is often used in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer because it can detect cellular changes in tissues before other modalities like CT and MRI.

The Omni Legend system features an all new, all digital platform that can better detect small lesions with enhanced image quality. Its efficient performance can potentially reduce both the duration of the procedure and the dose of radioactive tracer given to the patient.

The Omni Legend’s upgradable platform will enable KRMC to keep up with ongoing advances in the technology.

Other features include:

* Ultra-high image resolution

* Customizable scanning, enabling tailored settings for each patient

* A large field-of-view for faster whole-body imaging

* Scalable platform for different types of tracers and procedures

KRMC is the first health system in Arizona to install the Omni 32 Legend System.

“Our team works hard to stay on top of advancements in the field and provide the best in diagnostic imaging to our patients,” said Casey Reed, director of Imaging Services. “We’re proud to bring new capabilities to the community so our patients can feel confident in the care they receive at KRMC.”
