KPD veteran officer fired

KINGMAN – A command staff member of the Kingman Police Department (KPD) is fighting for his job. City officials confirm that Police Lt. Danny Reed was notified that his employment was terminated on Dec. 20.

City representatives indicated they were unable to provide information sought through a Public Records request given confidentiality that applies to personnel matters. Reed also declines comment at this time, but there is indication that some details may surface in the future.

Reed is reportedly using a police association lawyer to pursue an appeal of his termination. Reed began his KPD career in Dec., 2005.
