KPD makes major seizure of drugs, weapons

KINGMAN — A Kingman police department drug investigation has led to significant seizure and the arrest of Mathew Faumuina, 35. Faumuina was jailed for a variety of drug charges after officers executed a search warrant at his home in the 400 block of Wilshire Avenue on September 29.

“Detectives also determined that Faumuina had been accepting Arizona EBT (electronic benefits) cards in exchange for illicit drugs,” said police chief Rusty Cooper. “Faumuina admitted involvement in the offenses.”

Cooper provided a list of items confiscated by officers:

  • 2 firearms
  • Over $1,000 in cash
  • 2 lbs. of psilocybin mushrooms
  • 16 grams of fentanyl powder
  • 14 lbs. of marijuana
  • 5 oz. of marijuana wax
  • 40 pre-filled marijuana vape pens

Cooper said an array of criminal charges includes possession of dangerous drugs and narcotic drugs for sale, misconduct involving firearms and fraud.
