KPD is investigating Oct 20 traffic fatality on Beale St.

KINGMAN — A deadly pedestrian traffic fatality is under investigation by the Kingman police department. Deputy chief Joel Freed said officers responded at about 7:00 p.m. on October 20 to the serious injury incident in the 1200 block of West Beale street.

“A pedestrian, Harold Douglas Bent, 69 of Kingman was walking northbound on West Beale Street outside of a crosswalk when he was struck by a semi-truck, Freed said in a news release. “Emergency personnel on scene attempted life saving measures on Bent and he was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.

The 65-year old California resident who was driving the semi was not injured. Freed said no charges have been filed, though investigation continues.
