Kingman to host developer workshop

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman’s Development Services Department has announced its first developer workshop of the year, scheduled for Wednesday, January 29, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. This event will take place at the City Council Chambers, 310 N. Fourth St.

This workshop marks the second in a series of collaborative sessions launched by the City of Kingman since October 2024. These workshops were initiated by the Kingman City Council to strengthen relationships between city officials and the local development community, with the shared goal of improving the development process.

The upcoming workshop will provide an open house forum where developers and city staff can engage in meaningful discussions about the Development Services Division’s updates. Topics on the agenda include:

* Drainage, subdivision, and zoning ordinance changes

* Implementation of Smart Gov software, along with an overview of its features and anticipated impact on departmental operations

* Feedback opportunities for developers to share insights on internal processes and procedures

The City of Kingman remains committed to fostering a productive dialogue with its development community, ensuring that concerns are addressed and efficiency improvements are explored.
