Kingman to begin striping operations

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman is starting long line striping of roads starting Tuesday, May 26. Typical times will be from 5:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday. Crews will start with the yellow striping, and then white striping at a later date.

Crews will only occupy one lane, and in most areas, drivers will be able to drive around striping vehicles, however we ask drivers to use caution around crews. The city recommends drivers not drive through newly applied paint but depending on temperatures, paint can dry within about 30 seconds.

The schedule will be dictated by wind and traffic, therefore an exact map and location of crews during striping is unavailable, however crews will be throughout the city through next week. Once again, the city asks the motoring public to use caution when driving near and around striping crews.

  1. Why don’t they fill in the potholes on the roads that are creating havoc on our cars…I know this is the Grand Canyon State, but it’s ridiculous!
