KINGMAN, Ariz. – The Kingman Police Department (KPD) reports a suspect led officers on pursuits that ended in a deliberate patrol car ramming on Saturday, Sept. 19. Public Information Officer Jennifer Sochocki said the ordeal began at about at 9:50 p.m. when a pickup truck was observed traveling at an estimated speed of 90 mph in a 40 mph zone in the 2400 block of East Andy Devine Avenue.
Sochocki said a short pursuit began after the truck turned onto Armour Ave.
“The vehicle stopped on Bank St. north of Rhoades Ave. The driver then reversed the truck toward the officer before fleeing south,” Sochocki said. “The officer discontinued the pursuit due to reduced visibility caused by dust from the fleeing vehicle.”
Officers subsequently spotted the truck enter the Zuni RV park property. “The vehicle traveled directly toward a fully marked patrol unit with its lights activated entering the park from Airway Ave. and struck the patrol vehicle,” Sochocki said.
The subject identified as Michel Graham, 56, Kingman, was tased to gain compliance when he refused police commands. He was transported to the local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during his arrest.
Graham faces two aggravated assault counts and other charges including unlawful flight, reckless driving, criminal damage and resisting arrest.
